Assembly & Installation Policy
To keep shipping safe and affordable, bikes and e-bikes from Pegas arrive roughly 90% assembled. This page explains what's left to do and how to get help if you need it.
What's typically pre-installed
The frame, drivetrain, brakes, and motor/battery system (for e-bikes) are installed and tested at the factory before your bike is boxed.
What you'll need to finish
Most bikes ship with the front wheel, pedals, handlebars/stem, and seat post/saddle removed or turned for packaging. Final assembly usually involves: installing the front wheel, attaching pedals, aligning and tightening the handlebars, setting saddle height, and a basic brake/gear check. This typically takes 20–45 minutes with basic tools (a multi-tool or Allen key set and a pedal wrench).
What's included
Each bike ships with a printed or digital assembly guide. A basic tool kit is included with most models; where it isn't, this is noted on the product page.
Professional assembly
We recommend a final safety check by a local bike shop before your first ride, especially for e-bikes, and we're happy to reimburse a reasonable standard assembly/tune-up fee with a receipt on select models — contact support@pegasinc.com to confirm eligibility before booking. Assembling the bike yourself, by a bike shop, or by a qualified friend does not affect your warranty as long as it's done correctly and without modification to the bike's systems.
Liability
Please don't ride the bike until assembly is complete and you've confirmed both brakes and the wheels are secure. If anything feels wrong, stop and contact us or a local bike shop before riding.
